Create and manage Audience

In contrast to the contact list, think of an Audience as a temporary list, which could be a subset of the contact list. To understand it better, check out the example below.

Let's say, you have a contact list called Customers to whom you want to send an email campaign about a new launch. If the launch is global, you may choose to send it to the entire list; but what if the launch is only for customers based in India? That's where creating an Audience becomes handy!

Creating an Audience

Click on any Contact list followed by Create new Audience button. It will ask you to group or filter based on your requirements. Follow the on-screen options and click Create. It will create a new Audience for you. If the filter you provided did a good enough job, then it is fine. Otherwise, you may have to update the audience manually. Deleting a record here leaves your originals intact, so play around and create your appropriate audience. Once you are happy with the list, hit the Save or Save as button to save the audience.

Manage Group data

You may choose to send different information to different groups. For example, if you have chosen to invite participants to an event, you may create Group data like Bus Number, Venue Details, Hotel Information, Contact Person, etc. While sending your invites, you can use this data directly using the Mail Builder interface. It is similar to the mail-merge feature in word processing tools; but easier and enjoyable. We hope you enjoy using this feature!
