Manage Files

Files work in a similar fashion as images. You can upload your zip, txt, pdf, and all kind of files for your viewers to download. Unlike Images, there is no post-processing done with files. So you just get what you store. It is the most elementary form of hosting we provide. Just store your content here, and you are good!

Create Folders

Every Project in BakeMyWeb allows you to manage its own set of files. To make things even better, you have a choice of creating folders. Create as many folders as you need and navigate there by double-clicking the folder.

Upload file(s)

Click on the upload icon and start uploading. You can add related metadata after you have uploaded it.

Change file view

The view could be changed to Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small, Extra Small, and Tiny. You can also sort the images by Name, Type & Date Added.

Download file(s)

You can select one or multiple files and download them to your device.

Rename file(s)

You can select one or multiple files at once and rename them all! It is a useful feature, especially if you have to upload multiple files at once and rename them together like Brochure 1, Brochure 2, Brochure 3 and so on.

Move file(s)

Create a folder structure the way you like. After that, select one or multiple files and click on the Move button in the information panel to move it to the desired folder.

Add Tags

Adding a tag to a file makes it easy to find later. You can add multiple tags to one file or multiple selected files. To search for all tagged files, use the search bar.

Recycle Bin

Every Project has a dedicated recycle bin. When you delete a file, it goes to the Recycle Bin. The files in your Recycle Bin can be restored to the location from where they got deleted. Note that files in the Recycle Bin still count towards the space quota for your account. You can navigate to the Recycle Bin to clear or restore them if you have deleted them by mistake. Once deleted from the recycle bin, there is no way to recover the files. Therefore, be very careful while emptying your recycle bin.

Clear Local Cache

We store some information offline for better performance. Sometimes, when the data goes out of sync, it may lead to unexpected behavior. In case you face anything inexplicable, clearing the local cache may help and fix the issue. There will be no data loss.
